The Wounded Warrior
Project (WWP) is a charity organization dedicated to providing
comfort, care, and service to the brave men and women of
our Armed Forces injured while keeping us safe and secure.
The Wounded Warrior Project seeks to provide tangible support
for severely wounded veterans and to help them on the road
to healing, both physically and mentally. They do this
through a number of ways ranging from the provision of
care packages to insured soldiers when they arrive at one
of many possible health care facilities, providing recreational
events, and other adjustment services. The Wounded Warrior
Project is filling a void that organizations like the Veterans
Administration, though well intentioned, simply cannot
address due to resource shortages.
It has been well acknowledged over the last decade that
our nation's veteran services are woefully inadequate;
organizations like the Wounded Warrior Project are critical
in fixing the saddening reality.
So lace up your shoes and join us on October 9th to help
support the Wounded Warrior Project. Hope to see you at
the starting line.
